We hope everyone is well, safe, and healthy during this tough time we have been presented with. We are as excited to see everyone as you are, but we will have to modify our socialization until further notice.
Allegany County department of health has granted permission to open as scheduled on May 1. guidelines have been provided for us to continue operations with specific restrictions. Below is the information for you to review and acknowledge.
The wording is very specific as you will read, i.e. “MUST FOLLOW” and “SHALL NOT.” There is not any room for broad interpretation. These guidelines are direct and will pose some significantly tough situations we will all have to Indore for the time being. Chris and I will be ensuring the health department guidelines are adhered to as we were informed that our permit to operate could be revoked for noncompliance.
Please understand that these restrictions provided are to ensure a safe environment for all to enjoy getting out of the house for a while. This is a welcome surprise to open on time and we need everyone to help us out in this endeavor. Please keep in mind this is subject to change at any time.
In addition to the provided guidelines we have modified our daily operations:
Shower houses and bathrooms will not be open as all camper units are self-contained
Cabin rentals are not available
Camp store operations will be performed through service windows, no admittance. All store products will still be available for purchase
Weekend camping is permitted provided camping units are self-contained
We have provided an acknowledgment letter for all to sign and return when checking in for the season. Please bring the completed acknowledgment letter with you to expedite the arrival process. You will not be allowed to enter until the letter is returned. As a wise man (my dad, Pat) has told me many times, “this too shall pass and we will look back in a few years and it will be just a memory.”
I am providing my personal cell phone number, 607–7 65–9575 if you need any further clarifications. Please do not call about non-COVID-19 concerns as we are finishing preparing the park for everyone’s return.
Thank you, stay safe, and we will see you soon.
Kevin and Chris
